Burnley FC in the Community are delighted to announce Ben Bottomley will join the charity as Partnerships Executive next month.
Ben joins from FC Halifax Town, where he has been Director of Commercial and Business Development at the West Yorkshire club for 6 years.
Before this, Ben worked as an account manager for UTV Media, Johnston Press and HBOS, and brings with him a wealth of experience in developing effective relationships with businesses, forming successful partnerships, and driving meaningful engagement.
As Partnerships Executive at BFCitC, Ben will oversee all partnership and sponsorship relationships for the organisation, secure funding to support the charity’s wide range of programmes and work closely with partners on corporate fundraising opportunities.
Ben said: “The role at Burnley FC in the Community really appealed to me as Burnley FC is such a special club, it’s a focal point of the town. The connection between the club and the community is so positive, there’s a real community spirit.
“The charity’s work, from the various community projects through to the wide range of facilities, you can see the difference that is being made and I wanted to be a part of that. It’s an exciting challenge and it will be rewarding to feel I’m contributing to making positive change to the local community.
“I would describe myself as a public-spirited individual and I love meeting new people, so I’m looking forward to bringing my skill set to the role. I can’t wait to get started.”
