BFCitC: Coronavirus Update

As a community organisation, the health and wellbeing of people within our communities is of paramount importance. Therefore, we continue to adhere to UK Government and Public Health guidelines in regards to the delivery of our activities.

As part of our duty of care to older adults and vulnerable groups, we have made the decision to temporarily postpone the following sessions as a precautionary measure:

  • Dementia Café
  • Extra-Time (all sessions including those based at the Community Kitchen, Leisure Box and Turf Moor)
  • Walking Football
  • All Disability Sport sessions
  • All Veterans sessions
  • Knit and Natter
  • Natter Shack
  • All Premier League Kicks sessions
  • Wildcats
  • Bertie’s Footy Stars
  • Soccer Schools

Whilst all other sessions will run as planned, we continue to assess the situation on an ongoing basis.

To confirm the Community Kitchen, Leisure Box and Whitehough remain open to user groups and the public.

Should further postponement or cancellations arise, participants will be provided communication directly by project staff. In addition, further updates will be provided across our channels.

Polite notice to visitors and those who attend our sessions:

Any visitor or participant displaying symptoms that are consistent with coronavirus should ensure they familiarise themselves with the chief medical officer’s advice on self-isolation.

We also echo the advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO), and urge visitors and participants to familiarise themselves with basic protective measures against the new coronavirus.

We will continue to take the best advice from the relevant authorities and will continue to share updates with any further developments.
