BFCitC staff members complete Velocity 2 Zip Line at ZipWorld

On Wednesday 27th April, staff from Burnley FC in the Community completed the longest Zipline in Europe, Velocity 2, at Zip World, raising thousands for the charity.

Located at Penrhyn Quarry, North Wales, the BFCitC team, who were joined on the day by partners and sponsors.

Zip World’s Velocity 2 takes participants zooming down a 1555-metre-long zip line, reaching speeds of up to 100mph whilst taking in breath-taking views over the Penrhyn Quarry Lake in Snowdonia.

Opened in 2013, Velocity 2 is the ultimate adrenaline rush and provided our team with a challenge.

The funds raised help BFCitC to fund projects and serve the local community around Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, the Ribble Valley and West Yorkshire.

BFCitC transform the lives of our community for the better, and the dynamic community team now deliver over 50 projects that touch the lives of local residents, from children and young people through to senior citizens.

We would like to thank ZipWorld for their hospitality.
