Burnley FC in the Community is taking part in a BBC local radio station campaign to Kit Out the Nation in sporting equipment.
A recent report by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee found that one of the barriers that young people face when it comes to exercising and taking part in sport is the affordability of kit.
This is why we have signed up to the BBC campaign aiming to Kit Out the Nation!
Burnley FC in the Community are asking for any of your unwanted, but in good condition, sports equipment to be donated to help young people get active and take part in sport.
Examples of what we are looking for includes badminton, squash or tennis racquets, footballs, cricket bats or gym equipment.
From Monday 6th September until Friday 1st October, we will be collecting the sports equipment to be used by schools and sports clubs who need it the most.
You can donate any equipment at our Community Kitchen, located at Unit 83 in the Upper Market Square of Charter Walk Shopping Centre in the heart of Burnley town centre. The opening times for our Community Kitchen are 10am-2pm Monday-Friday.
