The Burnley FC in the Community Kitchen is delighted to announce it will begin to re-open its doors for the general public on Wednesday 28th April 2021!
The Kitchen, located at Unit 83 in the Upper Market Square of Charter Walk Shopping Centre (above New Look) in the heart of Burnley town centre, will open its shop and café for takeaway only in the first instance.
Opening from 10am to 2pm on weekdays, customers can enjoy an extensive range of hot and cold food and beverages at great value prices.
The menu includes a selection of breakfast items, toasties, pie and peas, and desserts!
The shop will reopen as non-essential retail, so all you Clarets’ fans can browse our range of merchandise and apparel, so you can represent our town proudly!
By purchasing from our shop or café, you will be supporting our foodbank and helping us continue to support local families through this difficult time.
The foodbank element of the kitchen has continued to serve families in need throughout the pandemic, whilst all other areas of our facility have been closed.
To date, we have distributed 5,809 parcels to over 13,000 people, of which over 5,000 were children.
In addition to that, through supporting other charities and foodbanks we have distributed supplies that have gone towards feeding another 2,000 people.
This would not have been possible without the fantastic support from the local community, who have continued to donate food items at local supermarkets and stores, donate money via JustGiving and also signed up to our regular giving Foodbank Friends initiative.
We are hopeful of being able to open the other areas of the Burnley FC in the Community Kitchen in the coming weeks and months, such as our teaching kitchen and indoor café seating. Please keep an eye out on our Twitter page and website for more information regarding this.
Thank you for your continued support and we can’t wait to see you soon!
