BFCitC’s second Quiz Night at the Turf has been hailed a great success raising almost £2,000 to support the impactful charitable work carried out by the organisation in the region of East Lancashire.
Over 140 people filled the James Hargreaves Suite at Turf Moor to battle it out to be crowned quiz winners. Hosted by Burnley FC in the Community’s Business Development Executive Ryan Bradley, 21 teams answered questions on topics including music, science and history. In keeping with the surroundings, Clarets first team players James Tarkowski and Matt Lowton had also filmed questions and answers, to a dedicated Burnley FC round, that were played via video to guests on the night.
Team ‘John Reeves & guests’ were crowned winners on the night, taking home the Quiz Night at the Turf trophy and a 2018/19 Burnley FC home shirt signed by the first team. Returning teams ‘No Neymar Never’ and +24 Marketing’s ‘The Good, The Bad & We Left Dave at Home (Again!)’ came second and third respectively.
BFCitC is the official charity of Burnley FC. In the last season alone, BFCitC invested £2.5m into the communities surrounding Turf Moor, touching the lives of over 27,000 people.
The ever-growing workforce of around 100 staff delivered over 50 community projects with the support of close to 70 local, regional and national partners, using the power of Burnley FC to create positive, lasting chance to some of the most vulnerable people in the area.
BFCitC would like to extend its thanks to all those who supported the event including the business ‘Friends of’ who donated some fantastic raffle prizes.
