For the second year running, Burnley FC in the Community have been crowned Community Club of the Year at the MBNA North West Football Awards.
The glittering ceremony, held yesterday evening at Lancashire County Cricket Club, celebrates the great and good of football in the North West – both on and off the pitch.
Heaping praise on Burnley FC in the Community, the panel of respected judges commended the passion, drive and tenacity of the organisation that has experienced another year of unprecedented growth and outreach.
Speaking of the evening’s success, Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer of Burnley FC in the Community, said: “It’s very special for the team to retain this award for the second year running and I’d like to thank the North West Football Awards for this fantastic endorsement of the work we’re doing.”

Burnley FC in the Community were nominated for the award alongside Preston North End FC, Tranmere Rovers FC and Wigan Athletic Community Trust.
