In 2020, Burnley FC in the Community and Lancashire County Council children and families wellbeing service (LCC) developed a youth service early help offer in Burnley and Colne. The program is funded by the PLPFA and LCC.
The aim of the offer is to engage young people aged 8 -18 in a wide range of positive activities using traditional Youth Work and Multi-Sports with tailored educational development. The offer is both universal and targeted early help provision with outreach and a Detached service in both Burnley and Colne. Young people have access to a youth hub where both group and one to one support is offered. Other partners include Burnley boys and girls club, In-Situ, Lancashire police neighbourhood teams and Colne youth action group.
