Burnley FC in the Community and Danny Ings are delighted to announce that the Danny Ings Disability Sport Project is back after the summer break.
Our DIDSP staff are currently in the advanced stages of finalising all elements of this year’s programme, but for now, we are pleased to announce that our ever-popular Wednesday and Friday night sessions are back and better than ever!
As part of the new season, the DIDSP squads begin their training schedule on the Friday 2nd September, at the Prairie Sports Village. Training will continue on a Friday, on a weekly basis, at the usual time of 8pm and last for one hour.
Our weekly Wednesday night sessions at the ETC recommence on the 7th September, beginning at 8pm and finishing at 10pm. Our Adult Development Centre (previously on a Thursday afternoon at the ETC) is likely to change from its usual slot and this will be confirmed imminently.
Matt Pounder, Head of Sport at Burnley FC in the Community, explains: “Throughout this summer, our Disability Development staff have been working tirelessly to create innovative ways in which we can enrich the lives of people with disabilities and their families, across the region. This is a very exciting time and we are very much looking forward to the forthcoming year and exploring the potential of the programmes.”
Keep and eye on our social media pages for further updates on our Adult Development Centre and if you would like any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can also read more about the project here.
