Turf Works (Employability)

Turf Works (Employability)

Turf Works is our Premier League Works programme which uses the power of Burnley Football Club and the Premier League to engage young people who are not involved in education, training or employment.

The programme, delivered in partnership with the Professional Footballers’ Association and the Prince’s Trust, provides young people with support to develop their personal and social skills, giving them the confidence and the experience they need to make a positive transition back into education, access training or gain meaningful employment.

Who is Turf Works for?

16-24-year-olds who are not currently employed, in education or in training.

The course is free and fun to attend, can give you skills for later life and includes advice from our qualified friendly staff – so you should definitely join one of our groups!

If you’re still unsure about joining then check out these testimonials from some of ours previous participants who have since found work:

: “Turf Works changed me for the better! They gave me so many opportunities and support and without their encouragement and belief I would never have got my job.”

: “I’m so happy to have volunteered with the Sport department! I am now working as a BFCitC Casual Coach and the Turf Works programme gave me this opportunity. I would encourage anybody who is looking for work to come along to Turf Works, you learn so much from the workshops.”
