GAME have extended their association with Burnley FC by becoming Patrons of Burnley FC in the Community.
Already partners of the Burnley FC GAME Zone in the Family Stand (Jimmy McIlroy upper) at Turf Moor, the patronage will see GAME invest £6,000 worth of equipment for the club’s official charity to use in their current and upcoming facilities, as well as across its wide range of outreach projects.
GAME will also support the Young Clarets scheme which offers FREE gift packs to all born and bred Clarets (ages 0-16) with some special offers, exclusive events and competitions thrown in. The first such event is the FIFA 18 Community Cup Competition, which will take place in the GAME Zone prior to the West Ham United fixture.
Young Clarets have the opportunity to take part in a FIFA 18 skills competition, with the highest score being put forward as Burnley FC’s entry into the national competition. This will count against scores from other GAME partner clubs across the Premier League, Football League, League of Ireland and Scottish Premier League.
As well as a medal, a reward card and signed Burnley FC merchandise, the winner will be crowned as the Clarets’ Local Hero.
Steve Stretch, Community Development Manager at GAME, said: “We are proud to increase our support to Burnley FC supporters by becoming a Patron of Burnley FC in the Community.
“The charity do a lot of great work with children and young people and we are looking forward to developing a local partnership that benefits the Young Clarets in particular and the wider community in general,” finished Steve.
