Burnley FC in the Community is looking for another team of amazing volunteers to head back to Ghana on Saturday 19th October 2019!
This is the fourth time we’ll be teaming up with the hugely popular and well respected UK-based volunteer travel organisation African Adventures and their expert team of staff. With their help, we’ll be aiming to build on the great work we’ve already been involved in at the fishing village of Woe, Ghana; also, we’ll build on the special ties we have established with the community there.
Teams from BFCitC helped to lay the initial foundations of the Dedzidi Primary School classroom block back in 2014, while we also moulded bricks and built classroom walls in 2015.
In 2018, we helped to put together the final touches to the project which is now a two-storey build! The purpose of the trip is to tangibly help the community and the children of Woe by lending our time, energy and resources, while fundraising for charity in the meantime.
Interested? We’re hosting an information evening at Turf Moor on Wednesday 30th January 2019 from 6pm, please feel free to come along or contact Siobhan on 01282 704716 or email@example.com.
