Crown green bowls is a gentle sport that can be enjoyed by all ages, genders and abilities and offers both health and social benefits. Not only is it an ideal way to keep active and improve flexibility, balance and coordination, but, from a social aspect, individuals get the chance to build friendships and meet people with common interests when taking part competitively or socially.
Burnley FC in the Community are committed to supporting Bowls in Burnley and will be providing four bowling clubs – Lowerhouse, Briercliffe, Queensgate and Stoneyholme – with £1,500 per annum for the next three years to ensure the well-loved spaces can continue to be enjoyed by their members for the foreseeable future.
