Come down to Turf Moor and enjoy a slower-paced version of the beautiful game…

Whether you’re looking to get active, make friends or improve your mental wellbeing, Walking Football is a perfect opportunity to try something new or to get back into the game.

The sessions are aimed at both males and females aged over 50, but anyone aged 18+ is welcome to get involved. Each session focuses on games between 5-a-side or 7-a-side teams in a friendly atmosphere.

 

Where and when do the sessions take place?

Elite Training Centre, Turf Moor, Harry Potts Way, Burnley, BB10 4BX

  • Mondays 11am – 12pm
  • Fridays 12pm – 1pm

All sessions are free of charge and take place during Lancashire school term time only.

 

What should I wear?

Shorts or jogging bottoms and a t-shirt. It is also essential that you wear trainers (no studs/blades or walking boots) and don’t forget a bottle of water.

 

How do I sign up?

All new participants must contact Abby Turner, our Head of Health and Wellbeing, on 01282 704716 or a.turner@burnleyfc.com before attending a session. Appropriate forms will need completing to assess an individual’s suitability prior to taking part in the sessions.
