Join us to celebrate World Book Day with Karl Nova!

To Celebrate World Book Day 2021, Burnley FC in the Community will be hosting a virtual event with award winning author, Karl Nova!

World Book day takes place on 4th March 2021 and aims to change lives through a love of books and reading, with every child and young person provided with the opportunity to have a book of their own.

Our virtual event will take place on Tuesday 2nd March, with sessions available for both Primary and Secondary school students.

Primary KS2: 10:30am – 11:30am

Secondary KS3: 1:30pm – 2:30pm

All participating schools will be entered into a draw to receive FREE books!

Hip Hop artist, author and poet Karl Nova will join the event as he continues his work to inspire young readers and writers through his workshops and talks.

Karl’s unwavering commitment in this field has enabled him to reach out to children all over the UK and beyond. His achievements include; fronting the Premier League Primary Stars poetry competition which received over 7,000 entries, being an ambassador for National Poetry Day and winning the coveted Ruth Rendell Award for his outstanding contribution to raising literacy levels.
