Moor for your Future group litter pick to clean up their community

Group members from Burnley FC in the Community’s Moor for your Future recently took part in a social action project.

Their task was to pick up litter located in the park behind Turf Moor to help make the local area more attractive to the local community.

They also attended the The RV Furor Scribendi part of the SuperSlow way project where the group completed some self-reflection over the last 10 weeks of the course and some mindfulness activities which they found really useful.

Hayley Barsby, Employability Tutor at BFCitC, said: “This 10 weeks has now come to an end but we are thrilled that over 50% of our participants have secured full time or part time employment or will be returning back to education! We wish them the best of luck.

“Over the last week our Moor for your future participants have completed their social action project, Litter picking in the Park behind Turf Moor. They were shocked when they collected over five bags of litter. Hopefully their hard work will make the park more attractive to the public.
