Over 4,000 now fed by town’s foodbank

Burnley FC in the Community is continuing to support those in need at this difficult time with food parcels.

In partnership with Burnley Together, to date the Burnley Community Kitchen foodbank has delivered 2,007 food parcels which have fed 4,501 people, 1,749 of these have been children.

Burnley has not let the pandemic dampen its community spirit and this is shown through the fantastic support the foodbank has received through JustGiving with supporters raising over £20,000.

The foodbank is currently running low on carrier bags, ready-made sauces and tinned meals. There are multiple donation points around Burnley and its surrounding areas, if you’d like to support us. You can find your nearest location HERE.

The foodbank has also introduced neighbourhood collections. This weekend a Clarets supporting foodbanks collection bin will be in place at the following locations:

Padiham Road/Brassey Street: Friday and Saturday 10am to 6pm

Pendle Way/Corner of Foxcroft: Saturday and Sunday 9am to 9pm.

Alternatively, please continue to donate what you can to the service by making a cash donation through JustGiving.

We thank you for your ongoing support.
