Burnley FC in the Community’s Leisure Box, a 133,000 square foot leisure facility at the Northlight Project in Brierfield, welcomed its first guests last week as the facility’s opening date edges closer.
Friends of Burnley FC in the Community and other local businesses were invited to a soft launch event, with a tour of the facilities on offer and an outline of how local businesses will play an integral part in supporting the facility once it opens.
BFCitC is inviting local businesses to support the project through the Founding Friends offer, with gym memberships, meeting room and pitch hire, and other incentives offered to businesses who want to make a difference to the local community through the Leisure Box.
With 15 screens in situ around the facility in key positions, provided by local company NPTV, there is a great opportunity to display adverts, logo’s and promotions to the 160,000 visitors anticipated annually.
Ryan Bradley, Business Development Executive at Burnley FC in the Community said: “The Leisure Box is a facility that we are really proud of and we’re determined to make sure it supports our current work and serves the community in which it is based.”
“A key feature of the Leisure Box is that 50% of provision BFCitC deliver at the facility will be free of charge to the end user. This will involve schools accessing pitch and schools’ sports hall hire, employability groups using the classroom, individuals engaging with BFCitC’s thriving health programmes through use of the facility’s gym and space for local young people to attend Youth Zone sessions.”
“While trading income will support some of this, income from local businesses will also be essential in making this happen.”
“The Leisure Box will be a flagship facility for East Lancashire and we hope that local businesses can be a part of the success. Now is the perfect time to support the exciting new facility by becoming a Founding Friend.”
