Mini Kickers is a fun, recreational centre focused on the enjoyment and development of young players. Open to all children aged 3-11 years old, the sessions are age-grouped with pre-school, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 groups running over the course of Saturday mornings at two venues – the Elite Training Centre, Turf Moor and Nelson and Colne College, Nelson.
The children are coached in a relaxed environment where the focus is on fun and developing the child as a whole. Your child will be supervised at all times by FA-qualified and DBS-screened coaches.
The sessions of football activity follow a structured plan that will progress each child week by week, ensuring the children benefit physically, socially and psychologically. Underpinning the curriculum is the development of essential life skills such as respect, teamwork, confidence and self-belief.
Mini Kickers is also a fantastic way for children, who show the potential, to start their journey in playing competitive football. Children can move into the Burnley FC in the Community Player Development Centre (PDC) and those showing exceptional talent may be invited to train with the Burnley FC Academy.
Sessions will be held at the Elite Training Centre (ETC) at Turf Moor, which features a viewing gallery for parents to watch their children take part, and Nelson and Colne College in Nelson, which features an indoor sports hall. All children will be awarded with a certificate at the end of the block!
